To complement its management consulting advice to banks, Batt-Consulting designs and leads short, intensive workshops, seminars and briefings for the top and senior executives, and future leaders, of its clients. Almost half of these banks have turned to the firm for educational assistance.
Chiefly, our educational programmes are private, in-house, events for the top teams of individual banks. We also develop and lead programmes sponsored by institutes of banking, central banks, banking academies, bankers' associations, universities and leading management development organisations.
The unifying theme of all our programmes is how to achieve superior profitability, and thereby to increase shareholder value, by building competitive advantage in many areas.
Focus on the Top Team
As with its consulting work, Batt-Consulting only designs and leads educational programmes for senior executives. There are several reasons for this. Most important is that when the top people in a bank think together, using the same conceptual framework and a similar base of information, they tend to take important difficult decisions better and faster.
Short, Intensive & Tailor-Made Programmes
Senior bankers do not have the time to attend long training sessions and they do not want to listen to standard, often academic, presentations. They expect teaching materials to be relevant, practical and adapted to the situation of their particular organisation. Because of these needs, our programmes are typically from 2 to 5 days long and very hard work. We are told they are most instructive, interesting and enjoyable. We work with our clients to prepare fresh materials that respond to individual situations. Quite often, we instruct internal trainers in the use of our materials.

The implementation of our consulting recommendations is much more rapid, trouble-free and valuable when all of the top people in our clients have the same deep understanding of the fundamental changes to be made. Evidently, this means that time devoted to increasing common understanding is essential and an excellent investment.
